My name is Zuza and I am a graphic designer and typographer. I specialise in publication design and lettering.
A decent human being, at least 6/10 even on a bad day.
I figured I haven't updated my "about" page in the last four years, so here goes nothing...
I am a graphic designer with varied experience: from User Interface design to editorial and book design and some hands-on (albeit rusty) bookbinding skills. During my studies I mainly explored the medium of a poster and won a few international contests, however, I am currently focusing on type-related commissions.
Kool events my work participated in (tl;dr: plenty of contests, you can keep scrolling): AMS Galeria Plakatu distinction 2020; TIGDA poster design competition 2019 bronze award, Taiwan; Roller Poster, self-edition poster exhibition 2019, Szczecin; Po godzinach (After hours), group exhibition in collaboration with Pracownia N22, 2019, Warsaw; Posterheroes, A Poster for Tomorrow exhibition, 2018, Florence + Torino + Milan; Zrób to Sama (Do it Herself), group exhibition in Nośna Gallery, 2018, Kraków; Mut zur Wut finalists exhibition, 2018, Heidelberg + Berlin; Civic Cities project, Centre Pompidou (yup, you read that right), 2018, Paris.
I also received the scholarship of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for the academic year 2018/2019 as well as the scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for the year 2020. It was a pretty cool feeling and yes, I spent the money irresponsibly.
I salute you if you got this far. Here is some trivia for you:
1) I am an excellent Tarot reader (yes, really)
2) I learned how to ride a bike at 19 (yes, really)
3) I really dislike cheese (it ain't that great!)
